Class 1 - 10:00 - Main indoor arena - KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice - First Round

British Novice:

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 125 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 316.6.

b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2013 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of four years or under in the same calendar year as the British Novice Final - in accordance with Rule 316.6

Qualifies for: KBIS Insurance British Novice Championship - Second Round.

Qualifying period yearly 1st May - 30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four KBIS Insurance British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in and attend four KBIS Insurance British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular KBIS Insurance British Novice competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

If combined with an open:

In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the British Novice section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded.

In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded, irrespective of starters.

a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 225 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 314.6.

b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2012 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the Discovery Final - in accordance with Rule 314.6.

Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round.

Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in and attend four Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). (b) For all horses born on or after 1st January 2011, irrespective of Points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Newcomers Final - in accordance with Rule 312.6.

Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Newcomers Second Rounds. Qualifying period 1st June - 31st May inclusive.

1.10m Open:

For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

If combined with an open:

In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

Foxhunter section:

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 700 points. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 310.6

(b) For all registered horses born on or after 1 January 2010, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final - in accordance with rule 310.6 Four double clears will qualify.

Four Double clears will qualify for the Senior Foxhunter Second Rounds. Qualifying period: 1st June-31st May inclusive.

Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2017 are not eligible for qualification to the 2018 Championship.

Open section:

For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

If combined with an open:

In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

Class 4 - Main indoor arena - Junior Pairs Competition

In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6

For registered ponies to be ridden by Junior members, Single Fence course. Any competitor not registered with British Showjumping must compete on a ticket to ride. A relay for teams of two members each. The competition is judged under Table C. Max Fence height: 0.90m. The course will consist of 16 obstacles, the first 8 to be jumped by the first team member, the second 8 by the second team member. All members of the team enter the arena together. The first pony jumps obstacles 1 – 8 which is not against the clock. The pony may cross the start line for it’s part of the course (obstacles 9 – 16) once the first pony lands with its forefeet over obstacle no 8. Three refusals by any pony (but not cumulative by both) and/or fall of pony and/or rider incurs elimination The first competitor only of each team is required to cross the starting line and the last competitor only of each team to cross the finishing line. The team time is the time from the second competitor crossing the starting line for it’s part of the course to the second competitor crossing the finishing line, minus interrupted time plus time penalties.

Numbers to qualify: Those ponies that jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off in at least four Blue Chip Pony Newcomers First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in a Pony Newcomers Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). The winner of a particular Blue Chip Pony Newcomers First Round competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition. Ponies in the class must go into the jump-off and go clear to gain their double clear round qualification.

The Open Section is open to all. Registered ponies competing in either the Open or the Newcomers Section, ridden by Junior Members who have not won a total of 500 Points are eligible for double clear qualification for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship.

Qualifies for: Four double clears will qualify for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship to be held at the British Showjumping National Championships. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April. Qualification is Pony/rider Combination. Riders who have accrued points on the Pony Gold League are not eligible to compete in the Restricted Rider 1.00m Final.

Ponies may compete in one section only.

Qualifies for: Pony Foxhunter Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those ponies that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off in at least four First Round competitions held in the qualifying period will qualify to compete in the Second Round irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). The winner of a particular competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition. Ponies in the class must go into the jump-off and go clear to gain their double clear round qualification.

The Open Section is open to all. Registered ponies competing in either the Open or the Foxhunter Section, ridden by Junior members who have not won more than a total of 350 Points in the previous calendar year are eligible for double clear qualification for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship.

Qualifies for: Four double clears will qualify for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship to be held at the British Showjumping National Championships. Qualification is pony/rider combination. Riders who have accrued points on the Pony Gold League are not eligible to compete in the Restricted Rider 1.10m Final.

Class 7 - Main indoor arena - British Showjumping Pony National 1.15m Members Cup - First Round

For registered ponies to be ridden by Junior Members. This competition is open to all, but for qualification purposes, those pony/rider combinations that have been placed in a Winter JA Classic or Pony Show Jumper of the Year will not be eligible to compete in the final.

Qualifies for: The British Showjumping National Championships

Qualifying period 1st July-30th June.

Numbers to qualify: Two double clears to qualify (subject to revision). Qualification is pony/rider combination.
