Class 1 - 09:00 - Surface Arena - KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice - First Round

Rule 316. Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 90cm.

For registered horses in Grade C not to have won a total of 125 points to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

Qualifies for: KBIS Insurance British Novice Championship - Second Round.

Qualifying period yearly 1st May - 30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four KBIS Insurance British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in and attend four KBIS Insurance British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular KBIS Insurance British Novice competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

If combined with an open:

In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the British Novice section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded.

In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded, irrespective of starters.

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 225 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 314.6.

b) For all horses that are five years or under at the year that the final is going to be held, irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the Discovery Final - in accordance with Rule 314.6

Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round.

Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in and attend four Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). The equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m Open Qualifying Series will be incorporated into ALL BS 1.05m Open Classes held throughout the season at Cherwell Competition Centre. (£1.00 OF EVERY ENTRY FEE WILL GO INTO A PRIZE POT WHICH WILL BE AWARDED TO THE LEAGUE WINNER) 1. For registered horses, to be ridden by Full, Associate or Junior members. 2. Table A7, Single Phase or Two Phase 3. Speed 325mpm 4. Numbers to qualify: Approx. 24 horse/rider combinations based on League Points awarded in the equine MATRIX qualifiers. Allocation of Points: Points will be awarded to horse/rider combinations placed 8th = or higher on the following scale; 1st 12 points 2nd 9 points 3rd 8 points 4th 7 points 5th 6 points 6th 5 points 7th 4 points 8th 3 points (Horse/rider combinations placed equal will share equally the total points attributable to the combined placings (for example, four riders placed 4th equal receive 7 + 6 + 5 + 4 divided by 4 = 5.5 points each). In the event of equality of League Points at the end of the series, the highest placed competitor on equal points in the equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m Open Final will be the winner of the equine MATRIX League. The winner of the equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m League must be a starter in the equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m Final. In addition, the winner of the Final will be crowned the Champion for a twelve-month period. Special Rules NUMBERS TO QUALIFY: APPROX 24 RIDERS WILL QUALIFY FOR THE equine MATRIX 2017 FINAL AT THE Thame Horse & Country SHOW. (Cherwell Competition Centre reserves the right to change the venue for the Final) Horse/rider combinations will qualify, based on points accumulated from the equine MATRIX qualifiers held at Cherwell Competition Centre throughout the summer 2017 season. Horse/Rider combinations may enter as many equine MATRIX qualifiers as they like. In the event of equal place, all those on equal points will qualify unless the total qualifiers exceed 26. In this event numbers to qualify will be rounded down to less than 24. Qualified horse / rider combinations will be invited to contest the final to be held at the Thame Horse & Country Show in September 2017. The winner of the equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m Final will win £250 First Prize, Winners Rug, and Sash The winner of the equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m League will be awarded the total cash pot made up of a £1.00 for every 1.05m starter in each of the qualifiers and a Sash.

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 375 points. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 312.6

(b) For all registered horses that are six years or under at the year that the final is going to be held, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Senior Newcomers Final - in accordance with rule 312.6 Four double clears to qualify.

Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Newcomers Second Rounds.

Qualifies for: Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round.

Qualifying period 1st June - 31st May inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers First Round competitions in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in a Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). To obtain a double clear qualification, even if the horse is the only clear round, it must jump a jump-off round and jump clear to gain a double clear round. The winner of a particular Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers First Round competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

Qualifies for: British Showjumping National Championships.

Numbers to qualify: Four double clears (subject to revision). Qualification is horse/rider combination.

b) For all horses that are seven years or under at the year that the final is going to be held, irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final - in accordance with Rule 310.6.

Qualifies for: The Senior Foxhunter Second Round.

Qualifying period: 1st June-31st May inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Senior Foxhunter First Round competitions in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in a Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money. Horses in the class must go into the jump off and go clear to gain its double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular First Round Foxhunter competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2016 are not eligible for qualification to the 2017 Championship.

The equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m Open Qualifying Series will be incorporated into ALL BS 1.05m Open Classes held throughout the season at Cherwell Competition Centre. (£1.00 OF EVERY ENTRY FEE WILL GO INTO A PRIZE POT WHICH WILL BE AWARDED TO THE LEAGUE WINNER) 1. For registered horses, to be ridden by Full, Associate or Junior members. 2. Table A7, Single Phase or Two Phase 3. Speed 325mpm 4. Numbers to qualify: Approx. 24 horse/rider combinations based on League Points awarded in the equine MATRIX qualifiers. In the event of equality of League Points at the end of the series, the highest placed competitor on equal points in the equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m Open Final will be the winner of the equine MATRIX League. The winner of the equine MATRIX & Thame Horse Country Show 1.05m League must be a starter in the equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m Final. In addition, the winner of the Final will be crowned the Champion for a twelve-month period. Special Rules NUMBERS TO QUALIFY: APPROX 24 RIDERS WILL QUALIFY FOR THE equine MATRIX 2017 FINAL AT THE THAME Horse & Country Show. (Cherwell Competition Centre reserves the right to change the venue for the Final) Horse/rider combinations will qualify, based on points accumulated from the equine MATRIX qualifiers held at Cherwell Competition Centre throughout the summer 2017 season. Horse/Rider combinations may enter as many equine MATRIX qualifiers as they like. In the event of equal place, all those on equal points will qualify unless the total qualifiers exceed 26. In this event numbers to qualify will be rounded down to less than 24. Qualified horse / rider combinations will be invited to contest the final to be held at the Thame Horse & Country Show in September 2017. The winner of the equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m Final will win £250 First Prize, Winners Rug, and Sash The winner of the equine MATRIX & Thame Horse & Country Show 1.05m League will be awarded the total cash pot made up of a £1.00 for every 1.05m starter in each of the qualifiers and a Sash.

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 375 points. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 312.6

(b) For all registered horses that are six years or under at the year that the final is going to be held, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Senior Newcomers Final - in accordance with rule 312.6 Four double clears to qualify.

Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Newcomers Second Rounds.

Qualifies for: Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round.

Qualifying period 1st June - 31st May inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers First Round competitions in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in a Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). To obtain a double clear qualification, even if the horse is the only clear round, it must jump a jump-off round and jump clear to gain a double clear round. The winner of a particular Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers First Round competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

Foxhunter section:

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 700 points. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 310.6

(b) For all registered horses that are seven years or under at the year that the final is going to be held, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final - in accordance with rule 310.6 Four double clears will qualify.

Four Double clears will qualify for the Senior Foxhunter Second Rounds. Qualifying period: 1st June-31st May inclusive.

Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2016 are not eligible for qualification to the 2017 Championship.

Open section:

For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

If combined with an open:

In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.
