Class 1a - 09:30 - International Indoor - Connolly's RED MILLS Senior Newcomers - First Round

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 375 points. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 312.6

(b) For all registered horses that are six years or under at the year that the final is going to be held, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Senior Newcomers Final - in accordance with rule 312.6 Four double clears to qualify.

Four double clears will qualify for the Senior Newcomers Second Rounds.

Qualifies for: Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round.

Qualifying period 1st June - 31st May inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers First Round competitions in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in a Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final - in accordance with Rule 310.6.

Qualifies for: The Senior Foxhunter Second Round.

Qualifying period: 1st June-31st May inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Senior Foxhunter First Round competitions in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in a Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money. Horses in the class must go into the jump off and go clear to gain its double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular First Round Foxhunter competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2016 are not eligible for qualification to the 2017 Championship.

Qualifies for: Winter Grade C Final at the London Spring International Show.

Qualifying period: There will be 12 qualifying competitions. Qualifiers to be held at the Winter Premier Shows.

Numbers to qualify: Four to qualify, disregarding those already qualified, and horses ridden by riders who have already qualified two horses. Riders may only ride two horses in the Final.

Horses which are disregarded which otherwise would have qualified may be substituted in the Final for horses already qualified by the same rider, subject to Rule 79.4.

Rule 290.15 - Pre-Entry Drawn Order

Pre-entries may possibly be accepted before 9.00am providing that the number of entries are less than 60 (with the exception of County shows). Once entries reach 60 before 9.00am the class will be closed. Any entries taken on the day must compete first in the drawn order.

ELIGIBILITY:

Open to horses in grades A & B to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior members whose 23rd birthday falls on or after 1st January 2017. (Junior members must be 12 years or over in the current calendar year) To compete in the Final at Olympia qualified horses must be grade A at the closing date of entries. Only those riders currently eligible for British Team Selection will be awarded League Points.

To ensure consistency, competitors must be using the correct tack, saddlery/tack & spurs to conform to FEI rules & regulations.

Rules: Table A9

Speed: 350 mpm

Max Height of Fences: 1.45m – 1.50m

Max Spread: 1.60m

Max Triple Bar: 1.90m.

May include up to 3 single fence verticals at a maximum height of 1.50m.

QUALIFIES FOR: The Dodson & Horrell World Class Programme U23 British Championship Final 2017 to be held at Olympia.

BEF / World Class and Olympia reserve the right to cancel the Series or change the venue of the Final.

In order to compete in the Final all qualified competitors 23rd birthday must fall on or after the 1st January in the same year as the Final. Riders may only ride one horse in the final.

The Dodson & Horrell & The World Class Programme -Under 23 British Championships 2017 (OVERVIEW)

NUMBERS TO QUALIFY: A MAXIMUM OF 24 RIDERS WILL QUALIFY FOR THE 2017 FINAL AT THE LONDON INTERNATIONAL HORSE SHOW, OLYMPIA (OLYMPIA)

Only those riders eligible to compete on a Great Britain Showjumping Team are eligible to compete in the Final.

The five horse/rider combinations that represent Team GBR at the 2017 European Jumping Young Rider Championships will qualify by right: Further horse/rider combinations will qualify, based on points accumulated from the horse/riders combination’s best four results from the qualifiers, so that the total of qualified rider/horse combinations, including the Young Rider horse/rider combinations, does not exceed a maximum of 21. In case of equality of points horse/rider combinations will be separated by giving preference to the horse/rider combination with the greater number of first place classifications; in case there is still a tie the number of second place classifications will count and if necessary the number of third place classifications and so on until the required number of horse/rider combinations are not tied. If the horse/rider combinations for the last qualifying place/places are not able to be decided in this way i.e. they have the same profile, then the place/places go to Wild Card selection. Horse/rider combinations may compete in as many of the Qualifiers as they wish but only the horse/rider combination’s best four results will count towards qualification for the Final.

In addition to the maximum of 21 horse/rider combinations qualified through the above process 3 Wild Card qualification places will be awarded. The number of Wild Card selections will be increased only if required to fill the quota of 24 places at the final. The decision on the Wild Cards will be made by the World Class Programme Performance Manager for Showjumping, where this concerns a rider under 21 years of age on or after the 1st January in the same year as the Final, in consultation with the Chef d’Equipe for the Junior and Young Rider European Team, 2016.

Points towards qualification will be awarded to each horse/rider combination according to their placing in each of the qualifying competitions as follows:

1st - 40 points, 2nd - 30 points, 3rd - 25 points, 4th - 20 points, 5th - 15 points,

6th - 10 points, 7th - 8 points, 8th - 6 points, 9th - 4 points, 10th - 2 points

Rules for the Final: In order to compete in the Final all qualified competitors 23rd birthday must fall on or after the 1st January in the same year as the Final.

Riders may only compete on one horse in the Final. FEI Rules for Jumping (2017) covering Saddlery (Article 257) will apply at the Final.

In the case that any qualified horse/rider combination declines to compete at Olympia the next rider, according to the qualification points system may, at the discretion of the Olympia Organisers and BEF Performance Director, be invited to replace the withdrawn rider. The number of rider/horse combinations competing at the Final will not exceed 24.

All those qualified to compete in the Final will be required to confirm their intention to compete at Olympia, by payment of the appropriate entry fee which must arrive with the Show Secretary together with the correctly completed entry form by the entry closing date. Any rider failing to submit an entry together with the correct payment by the entry closing date will be deemed to have declined the invitation to compete. BEF / World Class and Olympia reserve the right to cancel the series or change the venue of the Final.

Rule 290.15 - Pre-Entry Drawn Order

Class 18 - International Indoor - Senior Foxhunter First Round/Grade C

Rule 310. Single Phase. Speed 350mpm. Start Height 1.20m. DRAWN ORDER

Foxhunter section:

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 700 points. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 310.6

(b) For all registered horses that are seven years or under at the year that the final is going to be held, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final - in accordance with rule 310.6 Four double clears will qualify.

Four Double clears will qualify for the Senior Foxhunter Second Rounds. Qualifying period: 1st June-31st May inclusive.

Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2016 are not eligible for qualification to the 2017 Championship.

Open section:

For registered horses in Grade C ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

The first 8 horses qualify for the final, held at the Blue Chip Winter Championships. Qualification does not pass down the line. Qualifiers must jump a clear in the first round, or clear in both phases if held Single Phase.

Riders who qualify must submit their details at www.bluechipchamps.co.uk to register their qualification.

For registered horses in Grades B & C to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

Qualifies for: Winter Grades B&C Championship at the Royal International Horse Show. No competitor may ride more than two horses in the Final. 24 riders directly qualify for the main arena. Horses that are disregarded under Rule 505.6 that otherwise would have qualified may be substituted in the Final for horses already qualified by the same rider, subject to Rule 79.4.

Qualifying period: There will be 12 qualifying competitions. Qualifiers to be held at the Winter Premier Shows.

Numbers to qualify: Two, disregarding those already qualified, and horses ridden by riders who have already qualified two horses.

Prizes: 1st: £200.00, 2nd: £150.00, 3rd: £100.00, 4th: £70.00, 5th: £50.00, 6th: £30.00, Total: £600.00
