Class 1 - approx. 10:00 - Indoor Arena - Clear Round

Open To All

Class 2 - approx. 10:30 - Indoor Arena - Club - Junior 70cm

Table A7 (Club). Speed 300mpm. Start Height 70cm.

In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6

Open to non-registered or British Showjumping Club competitors on horses and ponies. Junior riders should be turning 16 years old or younger in the current year. Stallions are not permitted to jump in any Club classes.

Qualifying period: 1st July 2018 to 30th June 2019

Numbers to qualify: The Top 20 from each of the four height category league tables, will qualify for the National Club Championships held at the British Showjumping National Championships. Club registered horse(or pony)/rider combinations are eligible to qualify and in more than one height category.

Points

1st = 12, 2nd = 10, 3rd = 8, 4th = 6, 5th = 4, 6th = 3. Double Clear Points = 3.

Points are allocated depending on the number of starters; every one in five registered starters is eligible for points. If you gain a double clear you will receive three points regardless of starters. If a combination competes in more than two consecutive height classes per show day only the points from the bigger classes will be graded.

Prizes: 1st: £10.00, 2nd: £7.00, 3rd: £5.00, 4th: £5.00, Total: £27.00

Class 3 - Indoor Arena - Schools 70cm League Class

Table A7 (Schools). Speed 300mpm. Start Height 70cm.

In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6

Open to teams and individuals aged between 5 and 19 years old (the years in which the rider turns 5 and 19). In case of teams, this class cannot run as a Two Phase competition (only Table A7 and Single Phase).

Team and individual points are awarded on the following basis: 1st – 12 points, 2nd- 10 points, 3rd – 8 points, 4th – 6 points, 5th – 4 points, 6th – 3 points. 3 points will be allocated to all those who achieve double clear. For a team to get double clear points at least 3 team members need to be clear in both rounds of a competition. The 3 highest team scores count.

Qualification period July to June:

Qualifies for British Showjumping National Championships. Numbers to qualify: The top 8 teams and top 10 individuals from the league tables will qualify in up to two consecutive height categories. Riders can qualify as an individual and as part of a team. Qualifications will also pass down the leagues with regards to teams and individuals that have already qualified.

Qualification period July to January:

Qualifies for Winter Championships. Numbers to qualify: All riders with points on the ‘Just for Schools’ league tables by the end of January will be invited to compete in the Winter Championship classes.

Please always enter with yours and the horse/pony’s membership number. To ensure you have these details, team and individual forms need to be filled and sent to British Showjumping before the competition.

Class 4 - Indoor Arena - Club - Junior 80cm

Class 6 - not before 11:30 - Indoor Arena - Stepping Stones 128/138cm Handicap

Rule 414. Table A2. Speed 325mpm. Start Heights 75cm / 85cm.

In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6

For registered ponies not exceeding 138cms, to be ridden by Junior Members, ages in accordance with Rules 77.12 & 77.13. This competition is open to all but for qualification purposes, those riders up to the end of the calendar year in which the age of 10 is reached are eligible to enter irrespective of Points achieved. Riders aged 10 years and over on 1 January in the calendar year must not have won a total of 350 Points in the 128cms Section and 700 Points in the 138cms section. Ponies 128cm & under are not permitted to enter the 138cm Section.

Pony Riders who have ever obtained points in the Gold League are not eligible for the Stepping Stones Final. Pony/Rider combinations who have ever obtained points in the Silver and/or Gold League are also not eligible for the Stepping Stones Final.

Once Riders have competed at, or have ever qualified for RIHS or HOYS on any height pony they are no longer eligible to compete in the Final. Once a pony has qualified with any rider for RIHS or HOYS in the current year, then it is not eligible to compete in the final.

Qualifies for: Two double clear rounds to qualify for the British Showjumping National Championships. Two double clear rounds will also qualify for the Scope Festival.

Qualifying Period: 1st January-30th June for Stepping Stones. 1st January-31st July for Debut Handicap Championship.

Numbers to qualify: Those pony/rider combinations who achieve two double clears (subject to revision) will qualify for the Final. Those ponies who achieve two double clears will also qualify for the Debut Handicap Championship Final at the Scope Festival (those qualified to Scope, are asked to email scope.office@btinternet.com).

No rider may compete more than three ponies in the same section.

British Showjumping Boots / Leg Protection Ruling applies to this class, in accordance with Rule 102.15. Failure to comply will incur disqualification.

Prizes: 1st: £25.00, 2nd: £22.00, 3rd: £17.00, 4th: £14.00, Total: £78.00

Class 7 - Indoor Arena - Small pony open class (incorporating the Area 12A Grand Prix Qualifier)

Table A7. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 90cm.

In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6

For registered ponies not exceeding 138cm, to be ridden by Junior Members.

British Showjumping Boots / Leg Protection Ruling applies to this class, in accordance with Rule 102.15. Failure to comply will incur disqualification.

This class also qualifies for the Area 12A Small Pony Open Grandprix to be held on Sunday May 19 2019 at Waterford Equestrian Centre, Langley Park. The final on May 19 2019 has a prize fund of £600, and Area 12A WINNERS RUG.  Trophy to highest place Area 12A member. Normal criteria for entering this class applies. Numbers to Qualify - 4 disregarding those already qualified. Qualifying rosettes to be supplied by Area 12A to centres for these classes. Pony riders listed in any of the leagues (Bronze/Silver/Gold) from any area can qualify up to 3 ponies of any grades for the final. It is the rider/pony COMBINATION who qualify in line with normal criteria for competing in this Small Pony Open class and MUST BE STILL ELIGIBLE AT THE TIME OF THE FINAL.   The Area Representative (Cleveland & Durham) will retain an overall list of those combinations who have qualified and they will be notified by 1 May 2019.

Prizes: 1st: £25.00, 2nd: £22.00, 3rd: £20.00, 4th: £14.00, Total: £81.00

Class 8 - not before 13:00 - Indoor Arena - Pony British Novice Championship - First Round /80cm Open

Rule 410. Table A7. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 80cm.

Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6

British Novice:

For registered ponies in Grade JD, that have not won a total of 150 Points to be ridden by Junior Members, ages as per Rule 77.12/77.13.

Qualifies for: Pony British Novice Championship Second Rounds. Qualifying period 1st May-30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those ponies that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Pony British Novice First Round competitions held in the qualifying period will qualify to compete in a Pony British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Ponies in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain their double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular Pony British Novice First Round competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

80cm Open:

For registered ponies in Grade JA, JC, JD to be ridden by Junior Members

If combined with an open:

In the event of 15 or more starters this class will be split with two sets of prize money. Ponies may enter one section only.

Class 9 - Indoor Arena - Pony Discovery -First Round/90cm Open

Rule 408. Table A7. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 90cm.

Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6

Discovery:

For registered ponies in Grades JD and JC that have not won a total of 300 Points to be ridden by Junior Members, ages as per Rule 77.12/77.13.

Qualifies for: Pony Discovery Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify for: Those ponies which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off in at least four Pony Discovery First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in a Pony Discovery Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Ponies in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain their double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular Pony Discovery First Round competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition.

90cm Open:

For registered ponies in Grade JA, JC, JD to be ridden by Junior Members

Class 10 - Indoor Arena - Blue Chip Pony Newcomers/Pony 1.00m Open (both to inc. The Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Qualifier)

Rule 406 & 416. Table A7. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 1.00m.

Blue Chip Pony Newcomers is for registered ponies in Grade JC & JD that have not won a total of 500 points to be ridden by Junior Members.

Qualifies for: Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those ponies that jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off in at least four Blue Chip Pony Newcomers First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in a Pony Newcomers Second Round.

The Open Section is for registered ponies in Grade JA, JC, JD to be ridden by Junior Members. Registered ponies competing in either the Open or the Newcomers Section, ridden by Junior Members who have not won a total of 500 Points are eligible for double clear qualification for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship. Riders who have accrued points on the Pony Gold League are not eligible to compete in the Restricted Rider 1.00m Final.

Qualifies for: Four double clears will qualify for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.00m Championship to be held at the British Showjumping National Championships. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April. Qualification is Pony/rider Combination.

Ponies may compete in one section only.

British Showjumping Boots / Leg Protection Ruling applies to this class, in accordance with Rule 102.15. Failure to comply will incur disqualification.

(Incorporating the AREA 12A  2019 1M PONY OPEN GRANDPRIX QUALIFIER) This class also qualifies for the Area 12A Pony Open £600 Grandprix to be held on Sunday May 19 2019 at Waterford Equestrian Centre, Langley Park. Class 11 - Indoor Arena - Pony Foxhunter/1.10m Open (both to Inc. The Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Qualifier)

Rule 404 & 417. Table A7. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 1.10m.

In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split and two sets of prize money awarded. Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6

Pony Foxhunter First Round is for ponies in Grades JD and JC that have not won a total of 700 Points to be ridden by Junior Members.

Qualifies for: Pony Foxhunter Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those ponies that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off in at least four First Round competitions held in the qualifying period will qualify to compete in the Second Round.

The Open Section is for registered ponies in Grade JA, JC, JD to be ridden by Junior Members. Registered ponies competing in either the Open or the Foxhunter Section, ridden by Junior members who have not won more than a total of 350 Points in the previous calendar year are eligible for double clear qualification for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship. Riders who have accrued points on the Pony Gold League are not eligible to compete in the Restricted Rider 1.10m Final.

Qualifies for: Four double clears will qualify for the Pony Restricted Rider 1.10m Championship to be held at the British Showjumping National Championships. Qualification is pony/rider combination.

British Showjumping Boots / Leg Protection Ruling applies to this class, in accordance with Rule 102.15. Failure to comply will incur disqualification.

Class 12 - Indoor Arena - British Showjumping Pony National 1.15m Members Cup - First Round

Rule 400. Table A7. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 1.15m.

For registered ponies to be ridden by Junior Members. This competition is open to all, but for qualification purposes, those pony/rider combinations that have been placed in a Winter JA Classic or Pony Show Jumper of the Year will not be eligible to compete in the final.

Qualifies for: The British Showjumping National Championships

Qualifying period 1st July-30th June.

Numbers to qualify: Two double clears to qualify (subject to revision). Qualification is pony/rider combination.
