Class 1a - 10:00 - Surface - KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice - First Round

Rule 316. Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 90cm.

First place rosette kindly sponsored by KBIS Insurance Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

British Novice:

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 125 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 316.6.

b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2014 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of four years or under in the same calendar year as the British Novice Final - in accordance with Rule 316.6

Qualifies for: KBIS Insurance British Novice Championship - Second Round.

Qualifying period yearly 1st May - 30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four KBIS Insurance British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in and attend four KBIS Insurance British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification.

If combined with an open:

In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the British Novice section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded.

In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded, irrespective of starters.

Prizes: 1st: £40.00, 2nd: £28.00, 3rd: £20.00, 4th: £16.00, 5th: £16.00, Total: £120.00

Class 2a - Surface - Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery - First Round

Rule 314. Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 1.00m.

Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

a) For Horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 225 points. Four Double Clears will qualify - in accordance with Rule 314.6.

b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2013 irrespective of points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the Discovery Final - in accordance with Rule 314.6.

Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round.

Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in and attend four Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification.

Class 3 - not before 11:45 - Surface - equine Matrix Senior 1.05m Open

For registered horses in Grades: A, B & C. Ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members who will be aged 12 years or over in the current calendar year. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6

The equine MATRIX 1.05m Open League Qualifying Series will be incorporated into ALL BS 1.05m Open Classes held throughout the season at Cherwell Competition Centre. For registered horses, to be ridden by Full, Associate or Junior members. Table A7, Single Phase or Two Phase. Speed 325mpm Numbers to qualify: Approx. 35 horse/rider combinations based on League Points awarded in the equine MATRIX qualifiers. Allocation of Points: Points will be awarded to horse/rider combinations placed 8th = or higher on the following scale; 1st 12 points 2nd 9 points 3rd 8 points 4th 7 points 5th 6 points 6th 5 points 7th 4 points 8th 3 points (Horse/rider combinations placed equal will share equally the total points attributable to the combined placings (for example, four riders placed 4th equal receive 7 + 6 + 5 + 4 divided by 4 = 5.5 points each). In the event of equality of League Points at the end of the series, the highest placed competitor on equal points in the equine MATRIX 1.05m Championship Final will be the winner of the equine MATRIX League. The winner of the equine MATRIX 1.05m League must be a starter in the equine MATRIX 1.05m Final. In addition, the winner of the Final will be crowned the Champion for a twelve-month period. Special Rules NUMBERS TO QUALIFY: APPROX 35 RIDERS WILL QUALIFY FOR THE equine MATRIX 2018 FINAL. (Cherwell Competition Centre reserves the right to change the venue for the Final) Horse/rider combinations will qualify, based on points accumulated from the equine MATRIX qualifiers held at Cherwell Competition Centre throughout the summer 2018 season. Horse/Rider combinations may enter as many equine MATRIX qualifiers as they like. In the event of equal place, all those on equal points will qualify unless the total qualifiers exceed 45. In this event numbers to qualify will be rounded down to less than 35. Qualified horse / rider combinations will be invited to contest the final to be held at Cherwell Competition Centre on Sunday 9th September 2018. The winner of the equine MATRIX 1.05m Championship Final will win £250 First Prize, Winners Rug, and Sash The winner of the equine MATRIX 1.05m League will be awarded a Sash and Saddle Cloth

Class 4 - Surface - Connolly's RED MILLS Senior Newcomers - First Round

Rule 312. Single Phase. Speed 325mpm. Start Height 1.10m.

Entry qualifications: to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 375 points. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 312.6

(b) For all horses born on or after 1st January 2012, irrespective of Points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Newcomers Final - in accordance with Rule 312.6.

Qualifies for: Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round.

Qualifying period 1st June - 31st May inclusive.

Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers First Round competitions in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in a Connolly’s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). To obtain a double clear qualification, even if the horse is the only clear round, it must jump a jump-off round and jump clear to gain a double clear round.

If combined with an open: In the event of 30 or more starters the class will be split with two sets of prize money.

The CWD Sellier 1.10m Qualifying League Series will be incorporated into ALL BS Senior Newcomers Classes held throughout the season at Cherwell Competition Centre. For registered horses, to be ridden by Full, Associate or Junior members. Table A7, Single Phase or Two Phase Speed 325mpm Numbers to qualify: Approx. 35 horse/rider combinations based on League Points awarded in the CWD League. Allocation of Points: Points will be awarded to horse/rider combinations placed 8th = or higher on the following scale; 1st 12 points 2nd 9 points 3rd 8 points 4th 7 points 5th 6 points 6th 5 points 7th 4 points 8th 3 points (Horse/rider combinations placed equal will share equally the total points attributable to the combined placings (for example, four riders placed 4th equal receive 7 + 6 + 5 + 4 divided by 4 = 5.5 points each). Horse/Rider combinations may enter as many CWD qualifiers as they like. In the event of equal place, all those on equal points will qualify unless the total qualifiers exceed 45. In this event numbers to qualify will be rounded down to less than 35 Qualified horse / rider combinations will be invited to contest the final to be held at Cherwell Competition Centre over 9th/10th September 2018. The winner of the CWD 1.10m Championship Final will win £250 First Prize, CWD Winners Rug and Sash. The winner of the CWD 1.10m League will be awarded a £50 CWD Voucher, Winners Sash and Saddle Cloth.

Class 6 - not before 15:00 - Surface - Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter First Round/1.20m Open

Rule 310. Single Phase. Speed 350mpm. Start Height 1.20m.

Horses (or ponies in pony competitions) may compete in one section only. In the event of insufficient entries lower prizes may be withheld. Rule - 76.6

Foxhunter section:

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 700 points. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 310.6

(b) For all registered horses born on or after 1 January 2011, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final - in accordance with rule 310.6 Four double clears will qualify.

Four Double clears will qualify for the Senior Foxhunter Second Rounds. Qualifying period: 1st June-31st May inclusive.

Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2017 are not eligible for qualification to the 2018 Championship.

Open section:

For registered horses ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members.

If combined with an open:

The Kevin Bacon 1.20m Qualifying League Series will be incorporated into ALL BS Senior Foxhunter Classes held throughout the season at Cherwell Competition Centre. Table A7, Single Phase or Two Phase Speed 325mpm Numbers to qualify: Approx. 35 horse/rider combinations based on League Points awarded in the Kevin Bacons Horse Care League.
